Ok... That's my first skin request. I hope someone could help me.

I'm looking for a hack skin for D.520 from Bulgaria. I have downloaded a good hack for a french Dewoitine using LaGG-3 (1st series) as a basis.

If someone knows an already made skin, or can work on this project for me, it'd be real good.

Here is a link to see a paint scheme.

Dewoitine D.520.C1 Bulgaria

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Hello batistadk, I made a template years ago to skin the Finnish Lagg 3, 35 series. I dug it out tonight and gave your request a go. Still needs some work, the colours are from the Finnish aircraft so will need altering. The insignia is by Max-theHitman but this also needs altering to reflect the marking shown on your profile.

I haven't come across a skin hack for the Bulgarian D.520 but it is possible some one else may have done. If not I'll continue with this for you. Could be a day or two yet though.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. Very Happy

Hi, Misson_bug. Thanks for reply.

Your skin is very close to what I'm searching. I agree it needs some work, but it's almost done! And, by the way, looks great!

I'll be gladly if you work on this project for me. We'll be a great add to some future missions or a campaign.

Thank you in advance. Waiting for news.

Cheers.

Hello batistadk, here are images of the skin so far. Still needs tweaking.

The appropriate insignia came from a template by Jutocsa posted at
Simmers paintshop.

The undersurface colour has been changed to Grey, as per the
profile.
The upper surface is in a dark Green, taken fron a 109 skin.
I've faded it somewhat. Couldn't find anything to indicate
the actual colour but looking at the scheme it definately leans
towards the Luftwaffe. Unless Bulgaria requested this particular
scheme when they were delivered, if they came new from France
that is and were not from captured German stocks.

The code is as near as I could get, I searched everywhere for a match
to no avail.

Over Sofia.

I made a blank but with rudder colours, unfortunately
the axis insignia in my sim don't match what you require,
this maybe a problem with the more nations mod I have
in my modded game, not sure about the normal game, so
it will have to be all coded aircraft or Insignia only skins. Rolling Eyes

If you can find appropriate codes I can make a set no problem.
Could also do with the exact colour matches if you have the
numbers so I can change the Green and grey to the actual shades,
if not then it is this or I use the colour on the profile which I
personally don't think is accurate. Your choice though. Wink

When these are finished do you want them uploading here at
M4T or do you want to release them with your campaign.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. Very Happy

First of all, GREAT JOB!!!

The skin is superb, a piece of art. And, of course, a beautiful "unknown " bird.

The profile is really basic. Don't give us a belly view, neither upper wing. But I think you are close to what the scheme was, something really close to Luftwaffe schemes.

About insignias, I think blank, no codes, and fully marked are fine. And the Royal Bulgarian Air Force Insignia will be a great add. Ok, I don't use mods, then the fully marked and the no codes will be necessary at all.

And of course, you can release it here, no problem. My campaign can last too much too come to life. It's just a project, a really distant project, by now.

Thank you so much for your effort on this project Mission_bug.

See ya!

Cheers.

Hello all, the finished skin has now been posted for approval by M4T admin.

120 Dewoitines were supplied by the Germans to the Bulgarian Air Force in 1943, all had been seized by the German forces when they marched into unoccupied France and demobilised the Vichy Air Force. They were used by the 6th Air Force defending Sofia. Most were lost in combat to Lockheed P-38 Lightnings being used by the US 9th Air Force.

Dewoitine D.520 No 13 Bulgarian Air Force.

Includes insignia only version.

Blank seen here with in game markings switched on.

Made to fit the LaGG-3series35.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. Very Happy

Job done. Definitely, a good one.

You did it great, Mission-bug. Really what I was thinking. Very-well executed. Probably, I will be here with other requests real soon.

Thanks for your dedication. Waiting to download it, and put it against some P-38, for sure!

Thanks again man!

Cheers.
