Hi there.
I installed succesfully IL2 1946 on my Vista based laptop and works fine.
I patched it to vers. 4.08.

Now i'd like to merge on it my copy of PF.
May i do it now or i don't?
How to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Already done! 1946 contains PF! Note that each new generation of the game added to the earlier one, namely new maps, new planes and sometimes new objects. Of course, the program itself was updated too, most often for the better.

You might want to copy your mission and skin files from PF. Those should work fine.

Hfalex,
As it sounds like you might be a bit new to the sim, I highly recommend you make a copy of your "pristine" 1946 installation to a separate folder, preferably on a sepaerate drive, or at least partition. This way you can go ahead and have fun trying addons, patches and stuff, knowing that you have a "clean slate" if you ever need it. Might want to check the knowledge base here at M4T, lots of good info there. Anything needs further explanation, don't hesitate to ask. As you can see, there is always someone/s browsing the site who can lend some quick advice. Hope you're enjoying '46 Smile

Yep. I am with Rudi here - make a copy of 4.08m

After that install patch 4.09m beta (2 parts; patch and skins) so you can enjoy the latest and best maps ever - Slovakia, Bessarabia M
TO - the last includes Crete and Malta Very Happy

You can keep playing 4.08m from the location you copied it to, and it serves as a backup if you need to reverse things at the same time. 4.08m is still needed for online play.
