Windows xp Pro Memory

So far i havent had anymore issues with Vista, its starting to grow on me now, i think the first time i put it on i failed to do all the updates and that is what caused the malfunction, so far it has ran rather smoothy for the past week, we will see if i have anymore issues. Im using Vista Home Basic.

I'm starting to believe my motherboard is the problem. It's fairly recent with the first chipset where AMD and ATI had merged. Asus M2A VM with AMD 690G chipset. Funny enough the Realtec HD audio that's integrated did not act up with the last install try as far as I could tell. Terrible sound compared to my Audigy 2ZS Wink

I hear the new SP 3 for XP brings big performance increase. I'm more interested in that than in a pretty desktop.

Thats the same motherboard that i bought, i couldnt figure out how to get the sound to work, so i went and bought a soundblaster soundcard. For some reason the drivers for the sound wouldnt work...One other problem i have is that i am running my harddrive and dvd drive off the same ribbon cable, i have always heard that causes conflicts, not sure if it is fact or not.
