Post subject: Why am I suddenly flipping over whenever I land?

I don't know if something changed in the flight model in 4.11 or I just lost my touch - it seems whenever I try to land any more regardless of the AC as soon as I touch down the tail starts to drop smoothly but suddenly I nose dive into the tarmac.
This is frustrating as I spent a lot of time practicing and got to the point where I could land a corsair on a carrier about 75% of the time. Now I can't seem to get anything to land smoothly even on a wide runway
Am I just having a clumsy spell or did something really change?

Is the 'B ' (brake key) stuck/sticky on our keyboard?
Is the 'B' key set as a toggled key? (push on-push off)
If brakes are on an HOTAS axis or slider is it fully back (brakes released)?
I know this may seem too obvious but you would be surprised at how often it's something as simplae as that.

Fuel Tanks
The P-51 mustang ....had to burn the rear tank Aux. behind cockpit first to avoid landing Center of Gravity issues..........????
Where are the Auxilary Fuel tanks in the Corsair? Switch too those first and empty.
No drop tanks?
Ammo or bombs/rockets still onboard?
Flaps up/down on all wheels down?
Prop pitch?
Tail dragger issues??
Speed brake setting?
How much brake are you using and what is your landing speed......
Grass or paved/trap ship runnway....which airbase/ship? |
All / none of the above. I am doing nothing different that I am aware of.
Love that pic

Is there a way I can reliably test this? I don't see any sort of toggle setting, is that within IL2?
Dont see anything in the stick software either...is there any visible indication while in game that would show me if the brakes are actually depressed?

It's your stick.
Something is making it move forward at the wrong time and place.

Check Runway shoulders.....Someone from the Red/Blue Team is hiding in the bushes with a broom handle....and sticking it in your spokes as you go by? |
How do you "Switch" fuel tanks? with what?
I don't know if there is a "key" for that

Ok I did some testing, the brakes do not appear to be stuck at all. I taxied around very slowly and pumped the brakes, it's pretty obvious when they grip and let go again. Unless something is changing once I get in the air I do not believe it is the brakes.
Maybe I am just being too impatient, over confidence or something

I think you have a bad case of Beebopitus. It is an incurable condition where you crash perfectly good airplanes on landing. It usually manifests itself after you have blown up 17 tanks, 3 trains, shot down the Fuhrer's transport and sunk 4 battleships in one mission.
