I have this video I posted a few years ago of me doing a carrier landing in a corsair(My youtube handle is 8311XHT), anyway this guy came on there today and posted a comment saying: "its a stupid video game"
It sort of bothered me for a second, but I didn't give him any reply. I wanted to, but I held back. I wanted to tell him to fut the shuck up. Ya don't like it? Don't look at it. The guy is not a young kid.
I was wondering what you guys think of a creep like that.

He right about one thing...it's just a game. In his estimation it's "stupid" 'cause he probably can't do it. In fact heprobably can't get it up...the plane I mean.

My advice. Don't worry about people like that. There is nothing you can do to stop them from being rude. Tens of thousands of people have checked out your video. Statistically speaking, your gonna have a lot of assholes in the mix (myself included of course ). The best thing to do is ignore the haters and pay attention to the people who appreciate your video.

He's no pilot or aspiring pilot thats for sure.

I think some people just hate flight sims cause they tried for a few minutes, couldn't hit anything and crashed. Weren't pampered with aim assist etc so they didn't win.

I bet he has no skills nor patience.

Maybe he hates all video games and thinks they're all stupid?

When I see comments by these type of people it makes me want to create 999 accounts to thumb down all their stuff, and ban the rotter from the internet somehow. Maybe not feasable but its a pleasant thought.

I just wanted to hear it from a few of my fellow desk flyers. I'd buy ya'll a beer dammit if I could. Night folkes. Time for some shut- eye.

Unfortunatly in modern times there is a culture of " in your face , you suck, and constantly negative attitudes spewing from the mouths of loosers.
However , I can often log on to M4T , SimHQ or many other websites and
see decent helpful people who really give a hoot. We outnumber the loosers
so just pretend they aren't there and keep on smiling

I learned a few years ago that shallow minded people who suffer from low self esteem,deal with it by always putting down others. This sim has given me Hundreds of hours of joy over the last ten years and it just keeps getting better with Patches..

Nice landing, perhaps he thought that it was a real video, considering the title gave no real indication? I know a few old folks who hate all video games and refuse to accept them.
As said above keep up the good stuff and don't let the fools get to you.

Wheelsup is exactly right about the negative remark. You don't have to spend much time online to discover that the web is heavily populated by those who've grown up hearing laugh tracks cued by a snarky comments. Youtube in particular seems to be a magnet for cynics, reflexive "de-bunkers," etc.
Not incidentally, after several years of flying Il-2 at least twice a week, on average, I have yet to work up the nerve to even attempt a carrier landing. Personally, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing that.

He was probably trying the curved approach.
