Hmm, both downloads get blocked by Norton for malicious attacks, false positive?

Definitely. All uploads to Mediafire are checked by BitDefender, Additionally I checked the files with ESET NOD32 before uploading to MediaFire.

They installed fine on my game machine. No problems so far.

AVG here, too, and no problems. Long download - 8 hours and 40-something minutes on my DSL - but it arrived complete and intact, and, as with the earlier patches, it installed perfectly. Wish I could store a back-up copy on a CD.
Thanks again, TD, and thanks to you, too, MaXMhZ.

I store my patches (all of them) on an SD card. I use a SanDisk microSDHC (TransFlash) 16 GB card in a SanDisk MobileMate Duo reader.

It is tiny, and a much saver way to store backups than any CD or DVD
media.

The only problem is you can lose it easily due to it's size, so I keep it save in a box when not in use Very Happy

Installing from an SD card or other Flash media like USB sticks works a LOT faster than from CD/DVD.

I currently have an ATI Radeon video card with only 512 MB of ram. If I were to upgrade to a 1 gig video card, would that help prevent the 4.11 update from crashing?

NO.

Man, Team Daidalos must be working double shifts and overtime.

4.11m crashing to desktop is an AI-routine bug.

They are adressing the problem now.

[quote="demetrop"]I have installed the new 4.11 update to my Il2 program and now while flying any plane, after a few minutes the whole Il2 program crashes and I end up back at the Windows desktop.[quote]

Same problem here today. I only had time for a few short try outs yesterday so I didn't have this then. But today my game also crashed to desktop. First time after about 5 min after starting it and maybe 2 minutes in the air in the QBM. Second atempt the game seemed to work good. Used the QMB for a while and everything seemed to work fine. Then I went over to the FMB and at once hade some problem. Suddenly the Finnish blue swastika was missing from my J8A :S But only on my plane. The others in the flight had theirs. Left the FMB to try the J8A with that particular skin in the QMB and there it worked fine. All emblems there as they should. So i went back to the FMB made a test flight and my plane was fine. But after about 15 minuts of flying the game crashed to windows desktop :S

Have never had that problem before. My game has worked fine, unmodded only using the TD patches and skins.

But good to here they are working on it Smile

Once again, MaX, many thanks. I've got a handful of more or less empty wands lying around doing nothing; I should have thought of that. Embarassed

Try out the Pe-8, you can almost outfly a fighter! The elevator controls are too responsive. You can pull a hight g loop.

Can anyone fly the new Mosquito? I can't.

There are two different ways to open torrent links, I've found.
The link I posted must be opened by right clicking and "save as".
Then when it is done installing and asks me if I want to (Open), (Open Folder), (View Downloads), I select (Open) and my utorrent opens up appropriately and I can begin to download.

Hope this helps.

You can also set up file-association in your browser for .torrent and/or .magnet files to open them with vuze or uTorrent.

This lets you left-click the file and it is then starting the client and opening the torrent.
In Firefox this is located under Preferences - Applications

Thanks TD for the hard work.
I must say, this patch is very nice, especially the AI improvements, I've seen them employing tactics I've never seen.

Download and install on and old system worked great. No problems with several days playing QMB,Single Missions, and campaign.

The improvements to the AI are GREAT. Have been able to sneak up on the enemy using clouds and sun. Tail gunners don't appear to be as dangerous. I like the new bomb fuse option. The new AI routines are interesting and it appears that the AI is more aggressive than before. My number 2 wing man has to be ordered to provide cover otherwise he lights afterburner and will surge ahead like the number 3 and 4 (that aspect of the AI flying uber planes I don't like, but if that's what it takes to make the enemy stay and fight, then that's just fine. Really like the new paint jobs on the aircraft as they are not only beautiful, but make it feel like a new game.

Thank you TD for your outstanding work!!

The enemy AI is great, but it seems to be, that my squadron mates are too aggressive.

I odered my wingman to cover me, but he disobeyed my order and instead of covering me he attacked the enemy and shot in front of me.
Sometimes he shoulder shoots.

Anyway, the patch is still awesome!

Oh yeah, the patch is great indeed, but I've got a problem with it. The game freezes suddenly and my mouse doesn't react even in task manager, so the only way is to reset PC. It happens in long flights/fights, for example: I'm returning to base after large air battle and then - nothing <a lot of curses>.
