I'll tell you what, I just love flying new things.

I just saw a post about an F-8A Crusader for IL2. You can even download a pre-beta version for all you skinners that want to help out (post to follow).

Somewhere I HEARD a rumor that an F-4 was being designed for IL2 as well, you know, something to counter the MiG-21. We have a map, and some planes, now then, let's get this stuff going lol.

Meanwhile, there was a P-61 project. It's dead now I suppose. There was also an F7F being worked on by the MiG-21 guys.

Since you asked, that's what I want to see in a "new" flight sim. I would love to fly the Bearcat, which could fly circles around everything, the Phantom, the Tigercat.

I've been messing around with this Orbiter Simulation that zbw_109 suggested and landing has been kicking my ass. I have yet to get a perfect landing right down the center line. The crosswind and ground effect really start bugging you when you are about to flare that big bus. Its tough, but G dam it its cool. And visual. Lots of very visual stuff.

i'd like to see a game where can easily make our own planes and play them online. that'd be cool.

Europe, Israel, and vietnam. I've already downloaded some mods, I've been flying the B-52 like crazy, those long range Nuclear Missiles really do some damage to all nearby targets I've even cleared a whole airfield of enemies from at least 20 miles away and I still had 15 more missiles and many more enemy airfields to go , and the Harrier I got is pretty fun too.

as for that, there is an iPhone/iPod app called "Make it Fly" made by the US Air Force, you make your own airplane to try to reach a certain goal such as speed, alititude, range, and/or how much cargo it could hold.

StarWars Space Battles Simulator would be awesome! with the space cruisers too and the death star! that would be epic!

It would be good to see an updated version of some of those 90s style menus, the type where the menu was the airbase offices. eg door to the hangar takes you to the mission selections and briefings, the filing cabinet is options etc.
It's good for immersion (those fully animated 3D menus are immersive but also annoyingly slow and take forever to load). Silent Hunter uses these well for example.
One thing to note is they should be labeled, highlighted or something as it's pretty terrible when you can't even find how to change control settings for example.

I'd love to see a WWI sim in the same style as Il-2 where you can fly both fighters, reconmachines and bombers. Like a mix of Red Baron and Il-2.
A good amount of planes, not just the most famous fighters, and good campaign-games. Red Baron had that, but with todays or Il-2 standards the graphic is crap!!!!

Rise of Flight won't work on my compeuter (have to buy a new computer for that) and First Eagles is just to small. To few aircraft.
Havn't tried Over Flanders Field yet. But what holds me back is the fact thet you need MS CFS.

So what would make me happy is basically an WWI version of Il-2

Gonna dig this thread up rather than start a new one.

Flying CloD last night, practicing CEM and thought this could be a good racing sim.
Selection of maps such as Reno or some long distance Berlin to Rome courses, a selection of racing planes from different eras, some record breakers you need to manage to avoid blowing up. Hugues H-1, Sukhoi Su-31, P-51 Mustang etc.
Online Red Bull Air Racing.

Cliffs of Dover would seem to be a good choice, since it already has the ability to model CEM without separate work done such as the A2A Spitfire.

I'm easy to please. A nice modern naval aviation flight simulator. I haven't been happy since Jane's F/A-18 came out.

I have been checking in on Seven-G. The demo they had out a while ago is absolutely remarkable. Can't wait for a full version!

The Game I'd like too see is already half here, Il-2 4.11m, with CirX's pov mod, and RusP's mod pack for up3.

Those two mods would complete this game, and hopefully some one will modify them so that we can use them in 4.11m. :c)
