A question that I have for a long time now, and never discovered the answer.

There is any kind of anti-aliasing in IL-2? And, if it exists, how can we adjust it? I already know that nVidia control panel can't help.

There is no anti Aliasing or Ansiotropic setting in IL-2. But you should be able to set this with your card. My ATI card adjusts AA. I'm currently running 8X for both AA and Ansio.

nVidia folks will be of more help here but is there a box called "Let Application Decide" or something similar, and if so, is it checked? If it is uncheck it and then you should be able to set AA.

I use global settings (for all applications and desktop.
You could make an application-specific profile as well, but that is a little more complicated.

IL-2 Sturmovik is optimized for 4xAA 4xAF. You can set higher values to get a little better image quality, but that will put a greater burden on your graphics card and might taxe performance. ATI is much faster than nVidia when it comes to full screen AA and AF.

Set your AA and AF values as in the image (just click on the setting value to the right to get a list of choices), then click Apply at the bottom - Done.

Beepop and MaxMhZ already pointed out the best approach on how to make AA work in your IL2 game, just like to add my five cents:
the most important line in your Nvidia Control Panel is the one above the highlighted <Antialising Setting> in MaxMhZ´s picture, the line reading >Antialiasing Mode<. For IL2 you HAVE to set it to<override any application setting>, only then you will be able to select a setting in the next line.

And, you´ll see it´s absolutely worth the minor drop in framerate, the planes and everything just look so much more real once you got rid of those jaggy edges.

And tafkat, thanks for the five cents, they worth 1 million dollars. I already have used the control panel, but never have checked that option, that's imperative, for sure.
