When you have a ship selected there is an option called 'Sleep' in the properties tag. IIRC This is how long the ship will sleep (and therefore not shoot) in hours and minutes after the start of the mission.
The aaa on those ships can be hard core so if you want some of them to start shooting during the attack but not blow all of the a/c out of the sky it might pay to lower the ships skill level and increase its ROF which will increase the reload time of its guns (but not its rate of fire).

Did you get the aircraft to appear on the carrier yet?

Attaching planes to a carrier. The pictures are clickable links so click on them if you want to see the picture in a larger size.

Step 1: Set the first waypoint of the plane you want to use to takeoff.

Step 2: Click the Set button and you will get a green line with a target circle at the end of it.
Drag the target circle over one of the carrier waypoints. It doesn't matter which one you use.

When you get the target circle over the carrier waypoint you want to use left click the mouse and it will attach the plane to that carrier waypoint.

The planes will now takeoff from the carrier.
If you want them to land on the carrier then use the landing feature and attach the plane to the carrier in the same way.

Okay thanks ..I will try that again...

But right now my other problem is the planes are not dropping bombs on Ship targets..but doing a kamakazi run...like instead of dropping a torpedo to hit the ship..the plane flys into the ship..LOL...

My last waypoint is gattack..and I drag the green target redicule over the target and left click the mouse and it is selected but still nothing right happens...hmmmm..

It may be that because your last waypoint is gattack that they're going kamikazi. Try adding another normfly waypoint after the gattack waypoint and see if that works?

Hey

Okay I've assigned two groups of high-level bombers..with a payload of 650kg bombs...

They drop bombs on target no problem..but the flak from explosion hits the planes causing damage to aircraft..last altitute was 1000ft..I've now set it to 2000ft..but haven't tried it yet..taking a rest been at it all day...LOL

Thanks...its all coming together...

Very Happy
