Thanks all
I've always liked the idea of fictional ww2 senarios
@Coolcorsair: In what way? Do you mean how I got the lights elevated?

Yea, how did you get the lights elevated? Do you know if they are in PF, or just '46, the lights?

Im not sure if it is '46 only since thats the only version of IL2 i have, but, here's how to do it:
1: Selected any light/smoke/fire
2: Place it on the map
3: Enter 3D view
4: Press and hold the F4 key and move the mouse up and down to controll its height

No updates but a small anoncment:
I forgott that today we'll get a new computer and that means I'll lose the IL'2 installation, and as the disc is rather dodgy, I may not be able to play this wonderfull game for awhile
However, when I do get it on, I'll race on to finish this campaing off!
Cheers!

If you can, copy the entire IL-2 1946 folder to an external hard drive before you lose it.
When you get your new computer you can just copy that folder onto it and you should be good to go.
If you can't copy the entire folder read this: What files should I backup when re-installing?

Trick in copying the entire IL2 installation to another computer is that IL2 does NOT install anything into the Windows registry. Hence all you need is to right click on il2fb.exe file inside the folder after transplanting and then send a shortcut to the desktop. Then you can relocate that shortcut to your program listing in Startup or wherever you want. Very important if you also install UP 2.01 modded is to rename that shortcut since the same filename is used to launch that too. You need a distinctive name so that you can tell the two apart. Similar shortcuts can be created for the IL2setup.exe files too.
