Stebas,
Firstly and foremost let me say the Kuban Book shows a lot of effort. Kudos for your research and putting that together. However the Campaign itself is unplayable due to several procedural problems.
1) Campaign Folder name must match within Info.properties file. This is incorrect for both LW and VVS Campaigns.
Folder Name: Kuban_Campaign_1943_(Axis)
Info.prop File Name: Kuban Campaign 1943 (Axis)
*Campaign will not show up in Career Menu unless they are the same.
2) Mission names for Axis Campaign not the same as Axis Campaign Configurations File.
Campaign.conf names:
[Main]
Class il2.game.campaign.CampaignBlue
awardsClass il2.game.campaign.AwardsDEfighter
[list]
Kuban_DE_00.mis
Kuban_DE_01.mis
Kuban_DE_02.mis
Mission names within Campaign Folder are:
Kuban_DE_00E.mis
Kuban_DE_01E.mis
Kuban_DE_02E.mis
These must match. The VVS campaign ones are correct. Prossibly a copy paste error. Easy enough to rectify.
3) As campaign was made using IL2_Mods the .ext has _ru on the properties file names. Players using Standard IL2 Version 4.08m cannot see the briefings.
Campaign and mission makers need to take note please. You cannot just include a different mission name and say both Modded and Standard versions can play the campaigns/missions. Your campaign as currently set-up should be in the Specilised Download Section.
4) Please see how the file structure within IL2 is laid out for extraction/decompression.
Having to unzip several aircraft skins then still have to copy them to proper places makes for a long set-up time. Done this myself. So don't feel lonely. This just makes it so much easier.
Finally looking at the book I'm certain the campaign itself will show the same attention to detail once these problems are addressed. And should be a fun one to fly as well as getting a better understanding of the
"Forgotten Battle" which was the Kuban Campaign.
Cheers, Good Luck and looking forward to a corrected download.

Stebas, I launched the Russian campaign OK. (english version)
I can see you have put in a great deal of time to make these 2 campaigns and your effort is much appreciated.
I will not be able to fly it untill I do a serious upgrade but I would like to point out that, while the first mission briefing calls for the player to be in a Yak-1, he is infact in an I-16.
Also, when the campaign is selected from the initial campaign list, the description is not in English.
Once in the first mission screen the briefing is in English and the mission, while the load time is long, did load and I could fly it.
I think this will be an epic addition to IL2 campaigns for those with the horsepower to run it.
Running 4.09 with AAA UI .

Hello boys !
Please accept my apologies...
With this amount of work, in the final package I have made confusion between italian and english version and between MODDED and no MODDED versions !
Thank, Tip87th, to have recognized and reported this.
I am modified the various versions and i'm testing them.
Substantially:
- the file "campaign" reported the names of Italian missions rather than British (with final E) which were therefore correctly reported in the mission files
- the info file was in italian and not in english, as noticed by Sunchaser
Finally, having finish the work with the IL-2 46 MOD, I forgot to remove the suffix _ru in the file properties, that is not recognized by non modded version of IL2.
Sunchaser, as regards the fact that in the first mission you are in command of an I-16, this is because you have not set the highest rank (Polkovnik) and so you cannot be in the cockpit of the aircraft commander of the squadron.
In this night I think to be able of upload the correct versions, be patient, please...

OK, stebas, 100% right you are, I was in such a hurry to see if it would run, I just launched with lowest rank, my error, thanks.
Sure must have sucked to have to fly those open pit planes in the rain and other bad weather.

Sunchaser,
you will have to fly a hard mission (the 12th, "Hell over Abrau-Durso") with the I-16 Rata, but fortunately in a sunny day...
Bye, Stebas.

Stebas, I installed your updated campaign and all is well.
German and Russian campaigns started without problems.
Thank you again for what is probably one of the most researched campaigns to date.
I urge anyone with interest in this Forgotten Battle to check this out.
