I was just thinking the other day while playing a game with hyper lobby, that playing IL-2 online is like 20 times harder then the real World War II dogfights, because everyone is a Super-Ace with huge amounts of experience and we have experience WWII pilots never dreamed of back then, this assumption is not factoring in the human elements of real warfare here of course; I'm talking strictly about tactics and the simulation of war. I know enough about real warfare that I know I don't ever want to see a real battlefield in my life if I can help it, I'm just talking about the simulation of warfare here, which is what IL-2 is suppose to do, right?
So, I decided to run a test the other day, by jumping back into single player again after playing Hyber Lobby exclusively for the last 3+ mouths or so; sure enough the skills I have learned in hyper lobby, mainly how to avoid the guns of the deadly Hyper Lobby Super Aces, has increased my skills in the simulated world of IL-2 to a level of Super Ace ability. Missions that used to be extremely difficult for now easy for me. Staying alive, even never getting hit at all, is becoming a natural instinct to me in the game world. I like to pretend I'm some kinda High Warlock Vatican Assassin sent back in time to "get the job done". I mean, I used to suck really bad at this game, now I feel like I've broken past a wall and am now as good as any Ace back in WWII, maybe even better?
Looking at my Steam account it says I've played 413 hours of IL-2, and that doesn't include all the other flight simulator I play: too meany to count... so I guess what I'm saying is, if you ever felt like the topic image, stick with it, it pays off.

I can't tell whether or not you're being sarcastic. There's just one BIG thing missing - the fear. We have no consequences for our actions in this game. Makes a HUGE difference.
