Oil storage tanks.

Morris, my problem with the oil storage tanks is that they don't burn long enough. Maybe next time.

Wolfenstein, while there are many vehicles at or near the dock, there were none colliding...better luck next guess.

Hey Darkfall45 !!

That spot in the middle across the triple intersection on the sea there seems to be a white spot that looks a lot like a ship, could it be a battleship in there shelling out the Airbase with it's big guns ??

It's possible the HE-111H6 would just be a decoy to make us think the explosions were coming from a plane, but the explosions look both too big and too scattered to just be from a HE-111H6.

And since there's no other planes than the HE-111H6 or other type as bombers, the only solution in my mind would be from a big warship, such as a Bismarck class Battleship, probably on static position but there are ships in the FMB that can be both active AND not moving around.

Might be a long shot for this guess, but there's nothing else I can possibly think of...

Besides, there are still those torpedoes I think I saw just close to the docked ships, obviously from a Submarine since there are no other possibilities to notice.

Air Burst bombs?

Wolfenstein...No. I would have no idea how to set up an air burst bomb. Is that even possible in the stock game?

The He-111 is not a decoy. It just happens to be in the shot that I made of this incident. The He-111 was part of the attack group which consisted of 8 He-111s and 4 Ju-88s with cover provided by 8 Bf-109Fs.

No German battleships or submarines took part in the mission, but allied destroyers were involved as they were convoy escorts.

HINT: I had nothing to do with the explosion. The reason I recorder this mission was because of the explosion. I have flown this mission on numerous occasions since this incident and it has never happened again.

Do I still have the record...yes and no. I occasionally clear out my records. Some I delete, others I save on CDs. This is an old mission and I have no idea what I named it...No it was not The Big Explosion. I am way to lazy to reinstall them and search for this one.

The pictures of the incident and the explosion were collected right after the mission. So what you see is all I have. The solution will contain some addition pictures I recently created to flesh out the story.
