Post subject: Golden Age - Air Racing

Hi Guys,
Since I grew a bit battle-weary I have been thinking about making a campaign about the Golden Age of Aviation.
The era of elegant aircraft design and tremendous advances in Aviation.
Inspired by races like:
- Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe
- Thompson Trophy
- Bendix Trophy
- King's Cup Air Race
I want to make a campaign that will address the flyers aviation-skills (a la "For Good Pilots") and some races.
IL-2 has limited resources for pre-WW2 planes, so I will have to be creative.
At the moment I have:
GeeBee Model Z (Hacked I-16)
Hughes H1 Racer (Hacked IAR80)
Caudron C.460 (Hacked MS460)
Potez 53 (Hacked Hawk 75)
Comper Swift (Hacked PZL P11c)
Turner Special (Hacked Ki-27)
Wedell-Williams (Hacked A5M)
Seversky SEV-52 (Hacked B-239)
Does anybody have a suggestion on plane-types and possible hacks?
Any links to skins would be helpful too.
And volunteering skinners are most welcome!
Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I want to make the campaign in the stock version first.
From there on I can make a modded version later.
I'm searching for planes that were flown between 1930 and 1940.

Feel free to use any of my skins (and if they aren't up to par, let me know what to fix). I've finished a Hall Bulldog and Roscoe Turner Air Express (both P.11 hacks), but haven't had the time to post them yet. Can't wait to see this

I like this idea being an ex-air racer myself.
To advance you would need to successfully land at the end of the race and within a set time limit?
Check the I-16 Cup for some excellent I-16 racing skins as well as some great looking (though non-historical) race courses.

Thanks!
Please upload the P.11 Hacks when you have the time.
They would be very useful!

Finished the P.11s and am working on the Travel Airs. DO you need the GeeBee R-1 and R-2 (the red and white GeeBees)? Was also thinking of doing Dh 88 Comet hacks for the Mossie. Let me know if you need any of these

I have these GeeBee hacks of the I-16 that I got from il2skins a long time ago;
GeeBee R1 - No.7

GeeBee R2 - No.11

Sadly no credits on the skins.
I also have, from il2skins, two I-153 racing schemes from Jersey Devil;
Orange

Yellow
If you are interested send me an email addy via PM and I'll zip them up for you.
