I know they're not the oldest flight sims out there, but they're the oldest to mr, and compared to IL-2, they come up pretty poor in comparison Had some fun playing them, though, and, after all, they're what got me [strike]started[/strike] addicted to this all in the first place :
CFS2
F6F-3
I got shot down But I kind of let it happen anyway, so I could bailout. Almost dies because I forgot you have to open the parachute yourself!
A6M-2
CFS1
Bf-109 3D cockpit
Bf-109 2D cockpit
Shooting down Bf-109
P-51 3D cockpit
P-51 2D cockpit
Anyway, just thought I'd share

Ive had cfs2 installed on another computer since it came out, its shortfall for me was the MP, the FMB cant be beat as well as the addons. I have something over 1500 planes with countless mods, scenery, ships, effects, etc, etc.

Still got that old copy on disk here, had loads of fun with it, they made so many great campaigns when it was still going strong, such as the Poland Invasion campaign where you can defend Poland as a PZL P-11 Fighter Pilot, this one was really great.
I even managed to fly that good old Grendizer ( Goldorak for the French, or Goldrake for the Italians ) from this anime that was making so much noise during the late 70s to early 80s, heck I was a big fan of this anime
Here are the mods if you want to check them out...Or if you don't believe me.

Not only CFS2, even CFS1 was already having mods of it's own, I used to fly a lot in online over this even though I had no idea squadrons existed at the time, if you played CFS1 and saw someone flying a MIG-29, then it was probably me.
Those two bring back so much great memories, to think CFS1 goes back all the way to the late 90s.
Especially liked the comics book art included in playing CFS2 and it's still the only flight sim game that has those to my knowledge.
